The port engine Is fitted with a ZF Hurth Marine ZF53A gearbox, and the starboard

We ran both engines to temperature during a one hour sea trial. The engines ran smoothly and performed well at the time of the sea trial. The boat cruises comfortably at 8-9 knots. We saw higher end speeds of 12 knots.

layup, with the frames and stringers being formed over PVC foam core material.

The topsides and superstructure are finished in the original white gelcoat, with
painted blue waterline and sheer line stripes. The underwater hull is finished in blue

Broker's Comments

Boatshed Wales is pleased to present this impressive Trader 485 Signature, built in 2001 by the renowned Kha Shing Enterprises. This vessel is a fine example of a capable and well-respected open-water motor cruiser, offering exceptional space, comfort, and functionality throughout.

Externally, she features a generous swim platform with hot/cold shower, large gas locker, and safe access via wide spiral stairs to the elevated aft deck—an ideal space for outdoor entertaining. The spacious flybridge includes multiple seating options, repeater controls, and excellent visibility. Solar panels and a radar arch are fitted to the hard top, with ample room for additional solar if desired. Wide side decks with sturdy stainless grab rails ensure safe movement around the vessel, and the bow is well-equipped with large cleats, fender holders, and a new Rocna anchor with electric windlass.

Internally, the central saloon is bright and inviting thanks to large windows and an open-plan layout that seamlessly connects the galley and dining area—making it a perfect social space. The lower helm station is well-positioned for visibility and ease of communication via a large port-side sliding door. Accommodation includes a forward double cabin with en-suite and walk-in shower, a second en-suite guest cabin to starboard, and an impressive full-beam aft master suite with generous storage, a walk-around berth, and en-suite facilities. A fourth cabin with twin bunks offers flexible space for crew, guests, or storage.

The engine room is accessed via soundproofed doors fore and aft of the saloon. It houses twin Perkins Sabre engines and a Northern Lights generator, all clean and well-maintained. The space is well-laid-out with excellent access to key systems including clearly marked and easily reachable fuel filters. Performance during the recent sea trial was smooth and reassuring.

Overall, this Trader 485 represents a superb opportunity to acquire a spacious, capable and well-maintained motor cruiser, equally suited to long-distance cruising or extended onboard living.
