Stepping aboard midships, the wide side decks lead forward and aft. Aft is the custom hardtop extension with a partial enclosure, custom bench seating and room for folding chairs. A perfect spot to be out of the weather, enjoy a peaceful evening or reading a book while underway.
The interior is a testament to maintaining the “vintage-vibe” by keeping the original light fixtures, mirrors, attention to the detail of the gorgeous woodwork and era-appropriate hardware and artwork.
There are Dutch doors starboard and port to enter the pilothouse. Large, wrap-around windows allow excellent visibility for panoramic views and maneuvering. The helm station occupies the port side, complete with a vintage wooden steering wheel and engine controls. A folding bench seat, both port and starboard, provide seating for the Captain and Co-captain. Navigation instruments are primarily positioned to starboard.
Forward and down a few steps is the owner’s accommodation area. The main electrical panels, inverter/charger and batteries are located to starboard next to the stairs. The V-berth is quite large, measuring 6’1” in length and full width of the bow; a center panel may be removed to create two separate berths. There are drawers and storage lockers below. The current owners removed a small toilet and sink to create a large hanging locker and storage area with a bench seat opposite.
Aft of the pilothouse is the full galley which was updated during the major 2023 refit: an electric Isotherm refrigerator/freezer, quartz countertops, microwave, additional storage cabinets. The large Adriatic cookstove has a cast iron cooktop and oven.
The salon, aft of the galley has two bench settees, which convert to single berths, a free-standing drop leaf oak table, and a Lofoten by Dickenson diesel heater. A very cozy area to enjoy guests or snuggle up with a good book.
The new addition of the private head removed the salon bulkhead and expanded into the fish hold. A freshwater macerating toilet, custom sink and cabinet, and a fiberglass walk-in shower create a more comfortable, and vastly improve, the living experience while cruising.
The entire boat is a testament to the past and current owners’ depth of respect for the vessel and its history. All work has been completed to create seamless upgrades to extend her viability for future generations.
