Broker's Comments

Here we have a Diesel Eastwood 24 cruiser from 1966. The boat is in need of some tidying up and so I am suggesting this is a light cosmetic project but the main features and functions are all there. She is priced realistically for a quick sale reflecting her cosmetic condition.

These were well built and spacious little boats that have a lot to offer and will clear all the broads bridges with the screen down.

She is powered by the ubiquitous Perkins 4108 diesel engine to shaft and so is economical to run on the rivers. The engine started well and appears to run as it should. The rev counter is not registering but this may just be a connection issue.

The cockpit is a good size with aft bench seating and twin pedestal stools. Her canopy is perfectly serviceable and the solid wood floor is in sensible sized sections to allow easy lifting to gain access to the under floor area and storage. The aft bench is also all storage.

The saloon has a small bench to starboard and the galley and heads to port. The very old gas cooker was removed and replaced with a single canister hob but the gas lines are still in place so a cooker could be refitted. The forward double has its infill cushions and is a large and comfortable area.

This boat has been used as living accommodation by the current owner and though small seems to be warm and dry.

The exterior of the boat has some peeling paint and would definitely benefit from this being addressed for cosmetic reasons. The boat is offered as a light but fully working project that can be used straight away and she does have a pressurised hot water system which is nice.

Her broads toll is paid and her Boat Safety Certificate runs to May 2025.
